Treak Community Centre is a brand that is dedicated to creating opportunities for the community it serves, rather than fostering dependency. With a rich history, the centre was initially established by a monk who taught English classes to children and young adults. In 2010, UK charity Que Rico took over the management of the school and began sending volunteers to assist.

After a series of expats managing the centre, Salin was appointed as the first Cambodian project manager in 2012. Under her leadership, the school relocated to its current location in the heart of Treak Village and was renamed Treak Community Centre to reflect the expanded range of services offered. The ultimate goal of the centre is to empower local staff to manage and run the project, aligning with the vision of the founder, Nick Marsh.

Today, Treak Community Centre continues to thrive, with student enrollment increasing significantly. Treak Village itself is a picturesque Cambodian village, where traditional ways of life have been preserved. The village faces various challenges, including limited access to clean water, lack of infrastructure, and poverty.
