Treckerfreunde Hommersum-Kessel e.V. is a volunteer association in the Lower Rhine region of Germany, dedicated to preserving and bringing historical tractors and agricultural machinery to life. Founded in 1997, the club brings together more than 60 members, including collectors, mechanics and people who simply enjoy learning about historic farm technology. Membership does not require owning a tractor; shared interest is what matters.
The association maintains, repairs and restores machines from a range of manufacturers and eras, and passes practical knowledge about their operation and upkeep between generations. Its activities include workshops, group outings, field days and public gatherings where visitors can see, hear and understand how agricultural work was once done. When conditions allow, members demonstrate the equipment in action, including ploughing and threshing.
A major Trecker Treffen takes place every two years at Pentecost at Kloster Graefenthal in Goch, with the next event planned for 2027. The club also offers opportunities to meet members and explore the machines at its public events, while providing information and a membership application through its website.
