Tree2forest

Tree2Forest is a French nonprofit association dedicated to restoring forests and encouraging environmental awareness, particularly among young people. Founded in 2020 by Pierre Vaultier, an Olympic and world champion snowboard-cross athlete, and Florent Astier, a former international skier, the association grew from their connection to the forests and landscapes of the Briançonnais and Serre Chevalier region. Its work combines practical restoration projects with education, helping children understand the importance of protecting forests and taking action for the future.

Tree2Forest organizes tree-planting initiatives in collaboration with schools, local authorities, volunteers, and forestry partners. Its first restoration project, carried out with the French National Forestry Office and a school in Saint-Chaffrey, involved 40 pupils planting 200 larch trees. The association also offers educational activities and outings to raise awareness of environmental change and forest conservation. Tree2Forest welcomes donations, volunteer support, and partnerships with schools and local communities. As an organization of general interest, it states that donations and bequests are eligible for a tax credit.
