Treeligion

TREELIGION is a Hawaii-based environmental nonprofit dedicated to protecting and restoring native forests worldwide. Its mission is to inspire and educate people, while supporting community-led conservation and regeneration in partnership with local and Indigenous communities. The organization promotes trees as essential to healthy ecosystems and encourages people to learn about, plant, and care for them.

TREELIGION supports projects spanning forest conservation, biodiversity, reforestation, research, and environmental education. In the Brazilian Amazon, it works with the Amazon Emotions initiative on conservation efforts that include nature reserves, wildlife recovery, ecological agriculture, and forest immersion courses. In Kashmir, India, it has supported plans for an education center offering children environmental learning, forest and mountain field trips, and tree-planting activities. The organization also directs donations from its “1 dollar, 1 Tree” campaign to Eden Reforestation Projects, which employs local villagers to restore forests, and plans to establish a native Hawaiian plant nursery on Maui to supply plants for local reforestation. Through these initiatives, TREELIGION combines education, practical conservation, and support for local communities.
