About Trevathan Farm
Trevathan Farm, located in St Endellion, Cornwall, is a historic working farm that has been operated by the Symons family since 1850. Steeped in tradition and boasting a rich heritage, the farm has undergone significant transformations to adapt to modern farming methods. Today, the farm buildings have been lovingly restored and repurposed into charming stone holiday cottages, offering guests a unique and picturesque accommodation experience.
In addition to providing cozy cottages, Trevathan Farm also offers a range of farm activities for visitors to enjoy. Guests have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the working farm experience, witnessing the farming operations firsthand. From observing the care of the 100 sheep and pedigree South Devon cattle to exploring the 300 acres of land where various crops are grown, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Moreover, Trevathan Farm features a delightful pick-your-own business, which began with strawberries and has expanded to include a wide variety of soft fruits and vegetables. These fresh and delectable produce can be purchased at the on-site farm shop or savored in the tearoom, providing visitors with an authentic taste of the farm's bounty. Remaining true to its roots as a family-run business, the Symons family continues to play an active role in the daily operations.
Mark and Jo, the 5th generation of Symons' at Trevathan, reside in the farmhouse with their three children. Meanwhile, Shirley, Mark's mother and founder of the cottages and farm shop, remains an integral part of the business. Sarah, Mark's sister, takes care of the bookkeeping, ensuring the smooth running of the establishment.
