About Triangle Blues
Triangle Blues Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting blues music in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area of North Carolina. Affiliated with the Blues Foundation since 1996, Triangle Blues Society works tirelessly to grow and celebrate the blues genre. They offer a range of services and events to both musicians and blues enthusiasts.
One of their notable events is the Triangle Blues Challenge, a regional competition where acts compete for the opportunity to represent TBS at the prestigious Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. They also organize regular blues jams, providing a platform for local musicians to showcase their talent and connect with fellow blues lovers. In addition to events, Triangle Blues Society operates as a resource hub for blues history, providing articles on important figures like Blind Boy Fuller and Rev.
Gary Davis. They also actively support the community through initiatives like the annual TBS Toys for Tots Blues Jam, encouraging attendees to bring toys for donation. By donating to the organization, you can help fund travel and lodging expenses for winners of the Triangle Blues Challenge as they compete at the International Blues Challenge.
Connect with Triangle Blues Society on social media to stay updated on their events and to support the blues community in the Triangle area
