Triangle Run Smart

Triangle Run Smart Training is a running education and coaching program serving Apex, Cary, and Holly Springs, North Carolina. Launched in January 2020 through a collaboration between The Running PTs and Pace Yourself Run Company, it has trained more than 5,000 runners. The program welcomes people of all ages, abilities, and paces, whether they are preparing to race or seeking structure, fitness, and camaraderie.

Its year-round group training includes adult classes for beginners through seasoned marathoners, as well as youth programs that use play-based running and build toward the 5K distance. Coaches meet participants at their current level, and workouts and training plans can be adjusted to individual needs. The approach emphasizes gradually increasing mileage and intensity to help minimize injury risk, while group sessions offer motivation, accountability, and opportunities to train alongside runners with different experience levels.

Triangle Run Smart also shares running knowledge through seasonal seminars and coaching guidance. The organization publishes training information, event updates, and FAQs, and offers a monthly newsletter covering current and upcoming classes.
