Associazione Triangolo

Associazione Triangolo is a nonprofit organization founded in 1988 to support people with cancer and, subsequently, those living with progressive chronic illnesses. Based in Canton Ticino, Switzerland, it works across the region through its Sopraceneri and Sottoceneri sections. The association accompanies patients and the people close to them throughout illness, both during hospital treatment and at home, with quality of life at the center of its approach.

Its four services are volunteering, social support, psycho-oncology, and palliative care at home. Volunteers provide practical help and companionship to patients and family caregivers, while professional staff offer individualized, comprehensive support. The team works across disciplines and in collaboration with local services and family doctors, aiming to help patients receive appropriate care at home and avoid hospital stays where possible. Staff and volunteers receive ongoing training and respect confidentiality and patients’ rights.

Associazione Triangolo also organizes activities, meetings, courses, and events for patients, and shares news and publications, including a cookbook developed from its healthy cooking workshops.
