TRIO Philadelphia

TRIO Philadelphia is a local chapter of Transplant Recipients International Organization, Inc., serving the organ donation and transplantation community across Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Delaware. Chartered in 1997, the chapter brings together transplant recipients, living donors, caregivers, and family supporters. It engages with TRIO’s national network and local organizations, including the Gift of Life Donor Program.

The chapter’s mission centers on awareness, support, education, and advocacy. It offers opportunities for connection through support and social gatherings, meetings, educational events, and activities such as the Donor DASH and transplant-related events. Its projects include patient support, community education, advocacy, national service, post-transplant cancer information, scholarships, speaker videos, children’s books, and resources such as books and movies. TRIO Philadelphia also shares chapter and national news through newsletters and provides candidate workshops and programs for young people.

The organization invites community members to get involved and give back in recognition of the gifts made possible through organ donation and transplantation. As a 501(c)(3) organization, it accepts tax-deductible contributions to support its mission.
