Tropenzoo Bansin

Tropenzoo Bansin is a compact tropical zoo on the island of Usedom, welcoming visitors every day of the year. On 1,550 square metres, it cares for around 150 animals representing 70 species, alongside about 120 exotic plant species. Visitors can explore a terrarium area, a small tropical hall and outdoor enclosures, where animals climb, crawl, flutter and call amid carefully created habitats. The zoo combines animal and plant care with conservation, education and entertainment, offering a close-up experience in an intimate setting.

Guests can visit independently or arrange an exclusive guided tour, including opportunities to learn about zoological work and see animals at close range. The site also features a pond, a children’s adventure playground and warm mini-tropical areas for relaxed exploration. Admission includes day tickets, reduced rates for eligible adults, free entry for children under three, and an annual family pass; leashed dogs are welcome at no charge. Tropenzoo Bansin also invites visitors to support its work through animal sponsorships and contributions that help maintain habitats and conservation projects.
