Founded in 2011 by Alex Salazar, a South Florida native with a passion for mangos, the farm initially started on 5 acres of land in Loxahatchee Groves, FL. However, in 2012, they formed a partnership with the Sturrock family, who have been growing mangos on their historic property in West Palm Beach since the 1920s.

All production has since been moved to this location. The Sturrock family has a rich history of horticulture and has made significant contributions to the mango industry in Florida. Today, Tropical Acres Farms grows over 290 cultivars of mangos, along with sapodilla and avocados, in the ideal climate, location, and soil of West Palm Beach.
