– Trostmomente

Trostmomente is a blog by Sabine Erler focused on grief culture and the ways people experience and respond to loss. Erler is a pastor who, since 2015, has served in a dedicated project role for grief culture in the Propstei Wandsbek-Billetal in Hamburg. The blog grew from her work exploring change in the culture of mourning, informed by 32 years of pastoral experience in different settings: St. Stephanus in Eimsbüttel, a ministry in Scotland and northeast England, and Barsbüttel.

Trostmomente brings together articles on grief-related themes, with an alphabetical overview to help readers find topics of interest. Posts include reflections and stories, such as “The Tale of the Tree of Life,” by Ulrich Peters, alongside updates on Erler’s project work and its conclusion after five years. The site also provides links, a service section, and a program section, although the supplied information does not describe their specific contents. Overall, the blog offers a personal, pastoral perspective on changing practices and conversations around grief and mourning.
