True Access Capital

True Access Capital is a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) founded in 1992 as the First State Community Loan Fund. It supports entrepreneurs and small business owners in Delaware, southeastern Pennsylvania, and southern New Jersey by combining access to capital with practical business education and guidance. Its financing options include 504 loans, New Markets opportunities, and other loans for qualified borrowers. The organization also advances community development initiatives and collaborates with partners to strengthen inclusive neighborhoods and local business communities.

Through training and education services, True Access Capital helps business owners navigate the challenges of starting and growing a company. Its Women’s Business Center assists women entrepreneurs with business planning, managing people, finding financing, developing marketing strategies, and learning from experienced business owners through mentoring. The organization also provides media and resource materials and hosts events that connect small businesses with lenders and useful expertise. Since its founding, True Access Capital reports providing more than $64 million in loan capital to over 1,500 small businesses and community organizations, while advocating for the communities it serves.
