True Green Alliance

True Green Alliance (TGA) is a conservation organisation focused on promoting evidence-based wildlife management and sustainable use across Africa. It advocates for African communities to have a meaningful voice in decisions about their wildlife and natural heritage. TGA defines conservation as the active, science-based management of ecosystems and natural resources, aiming to support both biodiversity and human wellbeing.

The alliance works to counter misinformation through fact-based campaigns, public education, media engagement and documentaries. Its focus areas include conservation science, biodiversity, human–wildlife coexistence, community rights and livelihoods, sustainable use and hunting, wildlife crime, and conservation policy and law. TGA also advocates for transparency and accountability among wildlife authorities and legal bodies, and supports landowners, farmers, hunters and other professionals involved in managing biodiversity.

Through membership, the organisation brings together individuals, businesses and NGOs who share its approach to conservation. It publishes news, analysis and perspectives on African wildlife issues, invites public participation through joining and donations, and provides a newsletter and contact channels for enquiries.
