True Mountain Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making long-term, evidence-based addiction recovery accessible to people regardless of their financial means or insurance coverage. Inspired by founder Jeff Cottonโs lived experience of recovery, the organization is raising funds to establish and sustain a network of high-quality treatment centers, with an endowment intended to fully or partially subsidize care for people who need it.
Its proposed model centers on at least 90 days of inpatient treatment, combining 24/7 medical detox and monitoring with cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy, family counseling, trauma-informed care, and holistic services such as yoga, nutrition, and art therapy. Career support and community reintegration are also part of the approach. The foundation is planning its first 55-bed facility in Memphis, Tennessee, followed by a location in Dalton, Georgia, with nationwide expansion envisioned. It says future centers will pursue CARF and Joint Commission accreditation. The foundation also highlights intervention and recovery-navigation support from Bob Beck, an experienced interventionist and certified peer recovery specialist.
