About Trust Tairāwhiti
Trust Tairāwhiti is the regional development trust for Tairāwhiti, formerly known as ECT (Eastland Community Trust). Established in 1993, our mission is to foster a positive, prosperous, and attractive community. We believe in empowering our region through economic development and creating opportunities for employment.
In 2015, we launched Activate Tairāwhiti, our economic development agency, to lead local business growth and support job creation. By bringing together our community trust and economic development efforts, Trust Tairāwhiti aims to enhance the wellbeing of our people, the success of our businesses, and the future of our region. Our strategic focus, 'He Rangitapu He Tohu Ora,' guides all our funding and operational decisions.
