Tryffikultur AB is a Swedish specialist in truffle cultivation, serving established and prospective growers across northern Europe. Founded in 2009 by agronomist Lina Pettersson and biologist Christina Wedén, the company combines practical growing experience with scientific knowledge to help customers plan for the long process of establishing a truffle orchard.
Its services include quality-controlled truffle-inoculated plants, cultivation consultancy, and educational activities. The plants are oak, hazel, hornbeam, lime, or beech inoculated with Tuber aestivum. Their root systems are inspected to confirm that truffle mycorrhiza has colonised them. Tryffikultur advises growers on planning, orchard establishment, and evaluation, and offers tailored lectures, courses, and workshops.
The founders have contributed to truffle-growing projects on Gotland, Öland, and Bornholm, as well as advising growers in southeastern Sweden and Denmark. Pettersson produced the first cultivated truffles in Småland in 2022 and collaborates with Växjö’s Michelin-starred restaurant PM & Vänner. Wedén also leads a university course on truffles at Uppsala University’s Campus Gotland.
