Tsahal Connection

Tsahal Connection is a support and information project founded in 2015 by former French-speaking soldiers of the Israeli army. Its aim is to help French speakers integrate into Tsahal, from their first appointment through preparation for military service and beyond. The organization serves French-speaking people who are considering joining or are already preparing to enlist, regardless of their status.

Its services cover a wide range of enlistment pathways and practical needs, including Mahal, Garin Tzabar, programs for immigrants and students, and options for Haredi participants. Tsahal Connection also provides guidance on recruitment appointments and selection stages, such as the Tsav Rishon, Yom Hame’a, and other assessments. Additional resources address preparatory programs, residency status, only-child requirements, basic training, service conditions, religious practice, and soldier salaries.

The project offers information conferences, preparation workshops, and assistance through a hotline. It is also connected with the Ach Gadol association, which assigns mentors to lone soldiers during their service. Tsahal Connection’s team invites prospective soldiers to contact them for support and guidance.
