TSG Sankt Augustin e.V., also known as Tauchsport-Gemeinschaft Sankt Augustin, is a registered sports club in Germany’s Rhein-Sieg district. Founded in 1973, the club has around 75 members, including young people and young adults, and is affiliated with the German Underwater Sports Association (VDST). Its purpose is to promote scuba diving and fellowship among members.
The club provides diver education and continuing training in line with VDST standards, supported by its own instructors and diving equipment. Training begins at the start of the year, with theory covered before the diving season and practical instruction completed during the summer where possible. Weekly Friday sessions at local swimming pools build members’ fitness and equipment skills. The club uses the indoor pool in Sankt Augustin-Niederpleis during winter and the outdoor pool in Sankt Augustin in summer.
Alongside training, TSG Sankt Augustin organizes social gatherings, including summer and Christmas celebrations, as well as club trips. Members also plan local diving excursions together.
