About Tsonami Arte Sonoro
Tsonami is a forward-thinking brand dedicated to promoting and disseminating contemporary sound practices. Based in Valparaíso, Chile, their main activity since 2007 has been organizing the Tsonami International Festival of Sound Art. This event serves as a platform for socialization and exchange around sound and experimental practices.
In addition to the festival in November, Tsonami has expanded its offerings since 2012 to include year-round workshops, concerts, training programs, and dissemination actions. They also provide various resources and initiatives such as the BASE Sound Arts Gallery, residencies, a radio station, the Latin American School of Sound Art for Children, Audiomap publications, and the Transparency Media Team. In addition, Tsonami invites participation in their upcoming seminar on sound ecologies, featuring presentations, concerts, and laboratories.
