Tierschutzverein Fürstenwalde u. U. e. V. is a regional animal welfare organization dedicated to helping abandoned and distressed cats in Fürstenwalde and the surrounding area. Its work combines rescue, care, prevention and community action, with support from volunteers, foster carers and donors. The association provides cats with shelter, attentive care and medical treatment, helping each animal recover and, where possible, find a suitable home. It also responds to urgent cases, including orphaned kittens and sick older cats, and cares for free-roaming cats at authorized feeding stations through managed feeding and ongoing attention.

Beyond direct care, the organization shares guidance on responsible pet ownership, appropriate animal care and local legal requirements, including cat neutering. It works with local authorities to follow up reports of found animals and suspected cruelty or abuse. People can contribute by donating, becoming members, sponsoring a cat or offering a temporary foster home. The association also provides information about its cats, practical advice and ways to seek help. Visits are available by appointment.
