Tropical Texas Behavioral Health

Tropical Texas Behavioral Health (TTBH) provides behavioral health and related services to people across the Rio Grande Valley. Its mission is to improve the lives of people with behavioral health needs through quality care delivered with respect, dignity, cultural sensitivity, and a focus on recovery. The organization serves adults with serious mental health conditions, including severe depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder, and offers individually designed mental health services for children and adolescents ages 3 to 17.

Its intellectual and developmental disability services support people from early childhood through adulthood, including those with co-occurring mental health needs. TTBH also provides evidence-based outpatient substance use disorder care for adults and adolescents, including OSAR services, and integrated primary care for people actively receiving its behavioral health services. Additional offerings include medication-assisted treatment, veteran services, and Mental Health First Aid.

TTBH welcomes new clients and provides appointment information by phone. Its 24-hour crisis line offers assistance and information about resources for people experiencing stressful situations. TTBH describes its approach as comprehensive, compassionate, and recovery-oriented
