The TTV GUIDE TX project is a Horizon 2020-funded initiative dedicated to enhancing kidney transplant outcomes through personalized immunosuppressive therapies. By utilizing Torque Teno Virus (TTV) levels as biomarkers, we aim to tailor immunosuppression to each patient's unique needs, minimizing risks of rejection and infection. Our consortium comprises leading experts in nephrology, virology, and clinical research, collaborating to revolutionize post-transplant care. This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No [896932]. About TTV-GUIDE
Ttv Guide is a brand dedicated to revolutionizing immunosuppression management in kidney transplant recipients. They are a consortium of experienced kidney transplant physicians, clinical virologists, project managers, ethicists, and healthcare industry professionals, supported by funding from the European Union. At Ttv Guide, their mission is to establish an innovative tool called the Torque Teno virus (TTV) to accurately assess the activity of the immune system in kidney transplant patients.
By measuring the TTV load in the blood, they can determine the risk of organ rejection or infection. Through a randomized controlled clinical trial encompassing hundreds of kidney transplant recipients across Europe, Ttv Guide aims to test the efficacy of TTV-guided dosing of immunosuppressive drugs. Implementing TTV guidance in routine clinical care has the potential to significantly reduce infections and improve transplant success rates.
Looking ahead, Ttv Guide envisions extending the use of TTV to other organ transplantations and guiding therapy for autoimmune, infectious, and oncologic diseases. Their innovative approach and dedication to improving patient outcomes make Ttv Guide a leading force in the field of immunosuppression management
