Tuam Archdiocese is led by Archbishop Francis Duffy, who brings a wealth of experience and devotion to his role. Born on April 21, 1958, in Templeport, Co Cavan, Archbishop Francis attended Munlough National School and Saint Patrick’s College, Cavan, for his primary and post-primary education respectively. He studied at Saint Patrick’s College, Maynooth, and was ordained as a priest for the diocese of Kilmore in 1982.

With a strong commitment to education, Archbishop Francis taught at St. Patrick’s College, Cavan, for eleven years and served as principal of Fatima and Felim’s Secondary School in Ballinamore, Co Leitrim for twelve years before taking on administrative roles within the Diocese of Kilmore. In 2013, Pope Francis appointed him as the Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnois, and in November 2021, he became the Archbishop of Tuam.

He was installed in the Cathedral of the Assumption in January 2022. Tuam Archdiocese offers a wide range of services, including pastoral care, religious education, sacraments, and support for youth and young adults. They also organize pilgrimages to significant religious sites such as Ballintubber Abbey, Croagh Patrick, Knock Shrine, and Máméan.
