Tu Do Gallery is a contemporary Vietnamese fine art gallery founded in 1989 in downtown Saigon. Described as Vietnam’s first private art gallery, it is dedicated to presenting both well-known artists and promising emerging talents. Its program provides visitors with an opportunity to discover contemporary Vietnamese art through the work of a range of artists, including Thu Ha, Rung Nguyen, Van Phuong, Nguyen Thanh Hoa, Choe, Trinh Thanh Tung, Phu Nam, Le Thanh Thu, Phan Vu, and Cu Nguyen.
The gallery’s website features artist information and highlights selected works and exhibitions. One featured presentation is “Pandemic Stories,” a collection by Tran Thi Thu Ha, created in 2020 and 2021. The paintings reflect the artist’s personal response to the pandemic, which she describes as having been made with love and tears.
