Tukinet is an online support platform for people facing a crisis or another difficult situation in life. It brings together services intended to help people find support and make it easier to talk about concerns that weigh on their minds. Visitors can take part in group chats and one-to-one chats, join discussions in online forums, or seek a personal support person. The platform also lists current and upcoming chats and updated services, with opportunities to participate after creating an account; conversations can be anonymous.

Tukinet hosts services provided by dozens of social and health-sector organisations and projects, and offers dozens of group chats each month. The site is maintained by MIELI Suomen Mielenterveys ry, Finland’s mental health association. Alongside its online services, the site provides information about the MIELI Crisis Helpline, which is open around the clock, and the Sekasin chat for young people, available on weekdays and weekends at specified hours.
