About Tunisian Smart Cities
Tunisian Smart Cities is an initiative launched by the association Bizerte 2050 with the aim of transforming Tunisia into a smart city. The program focuses on optimizing the performance of Tunisian cities and strengthening the capacities of key local actors. Over a span of three years, the National Tunisian Smart Cities program will undertake activities such as conducting strategic and prospective studies, advocating for territorial development, and providing support to local actors in implementing smart city strategies.
With more than 260 public and private stakeholders already involved, the program is dedicated to fostering an ecosystem that promotes innovation and collaboration. The implementation phase of the program is underway, with the identification of potential projects at the regional level and the development of project catalogs. Tunisian Smart Cities also organizes events such as hackathons and workshops to encourage knowledge sharing and strategic planning.
Together, they are working towards building a sustainable and technologically advanced future for Tunisia
