TURIHAB is a national, nonprofit association founded in 1983 to support and preserve tourism accommodation in Portugal’s rural areas, including traditional guesthouses, farm stays and country homes. As the country’s oldest association in this sector, it works to protect the heritage, culture and character of its member properties while promoting quality standards and a shared identity.

TURIHAB brings together around 120 houses from northern to southern Portugal, including properties in the Azores and Madeira. Its two brands serve different kinds of rural stays: Solares de Portugal features historic manor houses and heritage accommodation, while Casas no Campo brings together mainly independent country homes suited to family holidays, group trips, weekends and countryside escapes. The association certifies the quality of its offer and helps visitors discover places that combine comfort with local tradition.

Alongside promoting its member properties, TURIHAB organizes activities and forums, develops tourism itineraries and institutional partnerships, and participates in international networks such as Europa das Tradições and Fazendas do Brasil.
