Special Olympics World Games

Special Olympics is a global movement that celebrates the abilities of people with intellectual disabilities and advances a more inclusive future through sport. Its World Winter Games in Turin in 2025 brought athletes and delegations together for competition, community, and shared achievement. The event featured eight sports, with an official platform offering schedules, results, and profiles of athletes and delegations.

Programs included Unified Sports, where people with and without intellectual disabilities compete together, and the Motor Activity Training Program (MATP), which supports participation through adapted activities. Beyond competition, Special Olympics provides initiatives such as Young Athletes, Healthy Athletes, and the Global Youth Leadership Summit, while encouraging public involvement through volunteering, family and guest programs, and partner activities. The organization also shares news, live coverage, photographs, and event updates, and offers official merchandise through its shop.
