About Turkish Rug
Turkish Rugby League is the official website and governing body responsible for promoting and developing Rugby League in Turkey. Established in 2016, the Turkish Rugby League Association aims to support and grow the sport in the country. They have received recognition and support from both the Rugby League European Federation (RLEF) and the Rugby League International Federation (RLIF).
The association has successfully organized training courses, producing over 15 coaches and 10 referees. In addition, they hosted their inaugural Beach Rugby League Tournament in Kalamis, Istanbul, which saw the participation of 19 teams and 43 matches over two days. This event garnered significant attention from the media and local communities.
Furthermore, the Turkish Rugby League Team achieved notable success in international tournaments, finishing as runners-up in the 2017 9s Rugby League Tournament in Rhodes.
