Bodilprisen

Bodilprisen is Denmark’s film critics’ award, presented by Danske Filmkritikere to recognize notable achievements in Danish cinema. The annual ceremony celebrates standout performances and films from the preceding film year, bringing filmmakers and audiences together for an evening of awards and recognition. Its honors include awards for Best Film and leading performances, as well as special distinctions such as the Æres-Bodil for a significant body of work and the Sær-Bodil for notable contributions to film culture.

At the 2026 ceremony, held for the 79th time, Zinnini Elkington’s debut feature Det andet offer received three awards, including Best Film and Best Leading Role. Jesper Christensen received the honorary award for his extensive work in Danish and international films, while the special award recognized the Greenlandic film industry. The next ceremony is scheduled for 6 March 2027 at Folketeatret, marking the 80th Bodilprisen. The organization’s website provides information about tickets, past ceremonies, the Bodil festivities, award criteria for Danish films, news, photographs, and contact details.
