J. E. Turquin is the gallery and online art shop of French painter Jean-Éric Turquin, whose work celebrates the landscapes, light and colors of Provence.
Born in Reims in 1950, Turquin began painting as a teenager and later made nature his principal source of inspiration, working outdoors. He settled in the Comtat Venaissin in 1976, near Mont Ventoux, where the region continues to shape his subjects and artistic practice. His paintings feature Provence, vineyards, poppies, lavender fields and Mont Ventoux, alongside seascapes, regattas, mountain scenes, winter landscapes and views of markets.
The gallery presents selected works for visitors to see and offers paintings for purchase through its online store. Located on a pedestrian street in the heart of Carpentras, it also provides a place to explore Turquin’s art in person. His work has received a Gold Medal at Mondial Art in 1993–1994 and is held in private collections across many countries.
