About Turtle Conservancy
The Turtle Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and conserving threatened turtles and tortoises, as well as their habitats all around the world. With more than half of the 300+ turtle species facing the risk of extinction, the Turtle Conservancy aims to address the primary threats to these incredible creatures, including habitat loss, unsustainable exploitation, and the illegal pet trade. Their work is guided by a clear mission and vision.
The mission of the Turtle Conservancy is to safeguard endangered turtle and tortoise species, while their vision is to create a world where all species of turtles and tortoises thrive in the wild. To achieve their goals, the Turtle Conservancy implements various strategic programs. These include conserving species in their natural habitats through land acquisition, maintaining captive breeding programs to restore natural populations, monitoring and preventing trade that poses a threat to the species, and spreading global awareness through outreach efforts.
By supporting the Turtle Conservancy, you can contribute to the vital work of protecting these remarkable creatures and ensuring a brighter future for them and their habitats
