Turun Ravinaiset

Turun Ravinaiset ry is an association founded in 1979 to support and promote harness racing in the Turku region. Its activities are closely connected with Metsämäki Racecourse, where the association maintains café services in the stable area. Proceeds from this work help fund initiatives that recognize local racing and its participants. These include the Turun Ravinaiset championship race and additional prizes for winners of the Turun Ravinaiset Mare, Juppi and Junttila races.

The association also works with Turun Hippos ry, assisting with VIP hosting and arranging guided tours of the stables at Metsämäki Racecourse. Through these activities, it helps introduce visitors to the racecourse and its stable environment while contributing to the local racing community. Turun Ravinaiset ry is also a member of organizations that advance harness racing, including Suomen Ravinaisten Liitto ry and Varsinais-Suomen Hevosjalostusliitto. Its work combines practical services, event support and prize funding to encourage participation in harness racing across the Turku area.
