Turun Yrittäjien Säätiö is a foundation dedicated to strengthening entrepreneurship in Turku and improving local businesses’ prospects for success in a changing business environment. It supports privately owned companies and entrepreneurs, with particular attention to small and medium-sized businesses, young entrepreneurs, innovative business models and digital development.
The foundation offers two main forms of assistance. Businesses can apply for support to develop their operations, while entrepreneurs can seek funding for education and professional skills development. Training support is available throughout the year through the foundation’s education and development fund, with a maximum award of 300 euros per year for each business or entrepreneur. Application criteria and schedules are provided on the foundation’s website.
The foundation’s activities are funded through returns on its endowment, which is managed by its board. It also works closely with Turun Yrittäjät, a local entrepreneurs’ association. Through grants, guidance and information, Turun Yrittäjien Säätiö helps individual entrepreneurs and businesses build capabilities, pursue new opportunities and contribute to the vitality of entrepreneurship in Turku.
