Twin Harbors Wildlife Center

Twin Harbors Wildlife Center is a wildlife rehabilitation organization dedicated to providing humane care for orphaned, ill, injured, and displaced wild animals. Its central aim is to help patients recover and return to life in their natural habitats, giving them a second chance in the wild. The center prioritizes animals’ independence by minimizing human interaction during recovery and carefully planning releases around weather, season, and time of day.

Whenever possible, animals are released near where they were found. If that is not feasible, the center selects locations suited to the species, with appropriate food, water, and shelter and fewer human-made hazards. Twin Harbors also provides public resources on what to do when someone finds an animal, how to locate or become a wildlife rehabilitator, preventing conflicts, and protecting wildlife.

Its website features educational information, a podcast, and a gallery. People can support the center through donations, wishlist purchases, sponsorships, commemorative bricks, and volunteering. The organization also welcomes suitable release sites for different species
