Twin Town Old Time Music Festival is a community celebration of old-time music and dance in Minneapolis and St. Paul, bringing together local and regional performers, visiting artists, callers, learners, and audiences. Its four-day festival, scheduled for April 16–19, 2027, offers concerts, hands-on workshops, dances, informal jams, and opportunities to socialize. Events welcome people of all ages and experience levels, whether they are discovering old-time music or have enjoyed it for years.
The program includes music and dance workshops for beginners through experienced participants, plus square dancing, honky-tonk dancing, clogging and flatfooting, Cajun dancing, and more. Family activities include crafts, crankie-making, family dancing, and singing workshops for children. The festival also hosts a monthly Twin Town Old Time Jam on second Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Center for People and Craft near Loring Park in Minneapolis. Through its schedule, performer information, festival tunes, resources, and merchandise, Twin Town helps visitors take part in the region’s old-time music community and provides ticket and venue information for attendees.
