Twombly Performance Horses is a family-run horse business based at Coyote Slide Ranch in the hills of western Nebraska. The ranch specializes in training and selling quality geldings and mares, with horses available for ranch work, trail riding, roping, reining, and family use. Its offerings include finished horses, prospects, and foals, with 2026 foals announced as available. The family emphasizes each horse’s conformation, disposition, color, pedigree, and athletic ability, and describes its approach as combining practical training with style and presence.

Horses are ridden through thick brush, steep canyons, and challenging hills. Training focuses on softness in the face, taking the correct leads, stopping on the “whoa” command, and responding to neck rein and leg pressure. The family owns and rides the horses it offers for sale, and aims to help buyers find a suitable match. Twombly Performance Horses also shares auction history, testimonials, sale terms, and contact information for prospective buyers. The ranch is located near Bayard, Nebraska.
