About Transportation Museum
The Texas Transportation Museum in San Antonio, Texas has been delighting visitors for over 50 years with its extensive collection of railroad equipment, automobiles, model railroads, and artifacts. As a volunteer-run museum, our mission is to preserve and showcase historically significant transportation items for all to enjoy. From our early days with the Texas Transportation Company Railroad to our own Longhorn and Western Railroad, we have strived to keep the spirit of transportation alive.
At the museum, you can explore our exhibits, which offer a fascinating glimpse into the history of transportation. We also offer train rides, model train layouts, and various events throughout the year, including Santa's Railroad Wonderland during the holiday season. Our goal is to provide both education and entertainment, ensuring a memorable experience for visitors of all ages.
