Tymal Farms

Tymal Farms is a Standardbred breeding nursery located just outside Windsor, Ontario. Established in 1989 by Shelagh and Dr. John McKinley, the farm focuses on breeding and raising racehorses, with broodmares, weanlings, and yearlings among its offerings. Its yearlings are featured for prospective buyers, and the farm celebrates horses bred, raised, and sold at Tymal Farms that go on to achieve success on the track.

The farm aims to produce stronger yearlings through expert guidance and attentive care. Equine nutritionists and other industry professionals inform its approach, while periodic analysis of hay, grains, and supplements helps support the needs of its horses. Tymal Farms also follows scheduled de-worming, vaccination, and trimming practices. Weanlings and yearlings are raised outdoors in groups, allowing them to exercise regularly.
