About Typetester
Typetester is a revolutionary web-based tool designed to enhance typography in web design. With over 2,800 typefaces available for preview, evaluation, and comparison, it empowers designers to transcend the limitations of traditional system fonts. Founded in 2005 by Marko Dugonjić and developed by Creative Nights, Typetester emerged from a need for better typographic resources during a time when UI design often neglected typography.
The platform has evolved significantly, particularly after a major update in 2015 that introduced a partnership with leading web font hosting providers, making quality fonts more accessible than ever. Typetester is not only a tool but also a valuable educational resource, having been featured in multiple publications, including Smashing Book #4. Its user-friendly interface integrates HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring a dynamic experience for users.
Whether you’re looking to improve readability, convey a unique message, or enhance aesthetic appeal, Typetester offers a wealth of options for any web project
