The University of Alberta Students' Union (UASU) is a vibrant and essential part of the campus community. With a mission to serve and represent students, UASU offers a wide range of products and services to enhance the student experience. The heart of UASU is the Students' Union Building (SUB), owned and operated by the Students' Union.

SUB is a bustling hub of student activity, housing all of UASU's services and most of its businesses, including Room at the Top and the Horowitz Events Centre. Open 24/7 during the Fall and Winter terms, and from 7am to 11pm during the Spring and Summer months, SUB provides students with various spaces to study and relax. In addition to the SUB, UASU offers a comprehensive list of student services, including U-Pass information, access funds, campus food banks, financial aid offices, and health and dental plans.

They also provide leadership education, job registries, and peer support centers. UASU aims to foster a sense of community and engagement by organizing numerous events throughout the year, such as New Student Orientation Week, Campus Cup, and Indigenous Celebration Week.
