About Ubongo Game Lab
Ubongo Game Lab is a game development organization and community in Zambia and Sub-Saharan Africa. With a focus on conscious minds and conscious play, we are dedicated to facilitating the growth of game development in the region. Through workshops, training, and providing resources to game developers, we aim to create meaningful interactive content, transform education, and preserve local art and culture.
Since 2015, we have been working to increase African women's participation in game development with our annual Games Plus Girls workshop and have exciting projects planned for 2019 and beyond. Our projects include Creative Hustle: Game Developers, Global Game Jam Lusaka, Interactive Fiction Workshop, XL3D Game Development Bootcamp, and Game Dev Weekend. At Ubongo Game Lab, we are passionate about building a vibrant community of game developers and creating a platform for meaningful and impactful interactive experiences.
