UBports Foundation

Ubuntu Touch is an open-source mobile operating system built around freedom, privacy, and user choice. Supported by UBports, a global nonprofit dedicated to putting people in control of mobile technology for the public good, the project is developed with help from a worldwide community of volunteers. Its software is libre: users can use, explore, change, and share it, and browse the source code.

Ubuntu Touch is available for dozens of supported devices, including promoted models from PinePhone, Fairphone, Volla, Google Pixel, and OnePlus. An installer helps users set up the operating system on compatible phones. The project also provides information about supported devices, apps, documentation, forums, and channels for installation and porting.

Designed to extend the useful life of mobile devices, Ubuntu Touch offers software upgrades for years beyond a device’s initial release. On compatible setups, users can connect a phone to a monitor or TV and use a windowed desktop experience for traditional PC-style productivity.
