About First Congregational
First Congregational UCC is a spirit-filled church in Sarasota that is committed to unity, acceptance of all, righteousness, justice, and peace. When you walk through our doors, you become part of our family. Our church is a part of the United Church of Christ (UCC), which was formed in 1957 with the vision of uniting Protestant, Christian denominations.
While we believe there is still work to be done for denominations to work together, we passionately believe in unity and acceptance of all. Each congregation in the UCC is governed by local people who make faithful decisions reflecting the unique local church. We offer various worship services, including livestream services and past services for reflection.
In addition to worship, we also have a music oasis center and various events to engage and connect with our community.
