CALeDNA is a brand that aims to protect California's biodiversity by engaging volunteers and researchers in biodiversity monitoring. With over 70% of California's natural habitat lost, CALeDNA recognizes the need for action. They pair volunteer community scientists with California researchers to collect soil, sediment, and water samples from various locations across the state.

By analyzing the environmental DNA (eDNA) from these samples, CALeDNA assesses the biodiversity of microbes, fungi, plants, and animals.
