U City is a vibrant, integrated community in the heart of Adelaide’s central business district, developed by Uniting Communities, a not-for-profit organisation serving the people of South Australia. Located at 43 Franklin Street, U City brings residential, social, commercial and community services together in one accessible city location, with a vision to help people live, connect and thrive.

Its offerings include retirement residences, long-term specialist disability accommodation in Platinum Apartments, and short-stay accessible serviced apartments. The site also features a function centre, commercial leasing opportunities, end-of-trip facilities and a Social Services Hub. Together, these options support a diverse community and provide spaces for living, work, connection and events.

U City is South Australia’s first Certified Carbon Neutral Whole Building, developed by the state’s first Certified Carbon Neutral organisation. It has also received the Communication Access Symbol, reflecting its focus on supporting communication needs.
