About UCOBAC
UCOBAC is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) in Uganda dedicated to promoting human rights and improving the welfare of women and children. Established in 1990 and registered in 1991, UCOBAC has been empowering individuals, families, and communities through community-based initiatives. Originally focused on supporting orphans and vulnerable children affected by civil war, HIV/AIDS, and other health factors, UCOBAC has evolved to implement holistic and sustainable programs.
Their core program areas include Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Women's Land and Property Rights, and Climate Change and Resilient Livelihoods. UCOBAC believes in a bottom-up approach to development, empowering grassroots communities to influence change at local, national, regional, and global levels.
