UDAPEI 74

Udapei 74 is a departmental union of associations representing parents and friends of people with intellectual disabilities in Haute-Savoie, France. Founded in 1996, it is a member of Unapei and brings together seven local associations, five of which manage facilities or services supporting people with intellectual disabilities. The union was established to welcome, support, listen to and advise families and their children. It also advocates for the dignity and rights of people with intellectual disabilities, works to improve accessibility, and raises awareness among elected representatives and the public about their needs.

Udapei 74’s activities cover accessibility, health and social life, culture and leisure, citizenship, awareness-raising and advocacy. It offers training in Easy to Read and Understand (FALC) and in welcoming and informing people with intellectual disabilities. The organization also shares news, accessibility updates, publications and resources for its members and the wider community.
