Premiers Secours 23

Unité de Développement des Premiers Secours de la Creuse (UDPS 23) is a civil-protection association representing the Association Nationale des Premiers Secours in the Creuse department. Approved by France’s Ministry of the Interior, it provides training in first aid, fire safety, and workplace health and safety for the public and businesses. Its courses range from introductory sessions and lifesaving actions to team-based first aid qualifications, fire prevention and evacuation, and workplace risk prevention. The association is also authorised to deliver training within the INRS network and offers courses for people who want to become trainers, covering course design, teaching methods, and learner engagement.

For public events and gatherings, UDPS 23 plans and staffs Dispositifs Prévisionnels de Secours (DPS), or medical first-aid posts. Trained responders use appropriate equipment to provide initial assistance to attendees and support public emergency services. Its approved civil-protection activities also include emergency response support, assistance to affected populations, and coordination of spontaneous volunteers during crises.
